My name is Lisa Johnson and I am the Owner and Head Coach of Tropical Twisters. I was a gymnast for 15 years and some of my achievements were Elite Level Gymnast, Ranked in the top 5 in the State of Florida from 1974-1982, Qualified to every Regional and National Championship from 1975-1982, 1983 Recipient of Auburn University Athlete of the Year, 1982-84 All-American, and 1982-84 All-SEC. 

I have been a Head Coach for 22 years for Levels 1-10. I am a National Member of USA and AAU Gymnastics.  I am also CPR certified and safety certified by USA Gymnastics.  I have qualified gymnasts to State, Regional, and National Championships every year since 1997. 10 of my athletes have received full scholarships to universities throughout the country. I have placed gymnasts on every AAU National Team since 1990. I have qualified gymnasts to every AAU Junior Olympics since 1990. I have trained 35 AAU National and Junior Olympics Champions since 1990. I also qualified gymnasts to every AAU Age Group Championships since 1993. I enjoy being a Volunteer coach for Special Olympics. 

I have also been a judge for 22 years and is a USA National Skills Evaluator, and a member of National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges. I have judged every AAU State, Nationals, and Junior Olympics since 1987, every USA State Championships since 1985 and I was a Line Judge for the 1998 USA American Classic Nationals Championships in Orlando.

My name is Mike Johnson and I am the Owner of Tropical Twisters. I currently have a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant position with Lee Memorial Health Systems for the past 4 years. I am responsible for treating physical therapy patients in a hospital outpatient and inpatient setting, under the supervision of 6 physical therapists. Primarily treating orthopedic and sports medicine patients. Also perform several other duties such as tracking clinic statistics and developing computer spreadsheets and cost management strategies.

I am a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, CPR Certified, Safety Certified though USGA, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (pending), a Member USA Gymnastics (Professional Member), a Member National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Member American Physical Therapy Association and Affiliate Representative of Southwest Florida District Florida Physical Therapy Association
